House of Gingko is a photography house founded by the photographer Mine MANAP TUREL in September 2023.

Who am I?

I am a Turkish street photographer who recently moved to the Netherlands. I speak English, French, and of course, Turkish fluently, and started to learn Dutch. I am an avid traveler who worked in many cities in Europe, Nepal, Cape Town, and Japan.

Although I have a Master of Science in Chemistry and I worked as a patent attorney for 11 years, I quit my daily job in May 2018 to pursue my passion for photography. It was my biggest hobby and dream along with traveling; now it has become something more. 

As a street photographer, I prefer to hunt the moments of daily life. I tend to picture these sequences as cinematic scenes in my mind. Since we do not live in a black-and-white world, I prefer shooting with colors as I see it.  

 I am also the founder of an online community for Women and Non-Binary photographers who are trying to get noticed in the NFT space called “Let’s Shine”. (working with 2 other women photographers). It will provide a platform where different collaborators help each other both in online and the real world as women and non-binary people find themselves often at a disadvantage, especially in certain locales where it is most needed. https://twitter.com/LetsShineNFT. 

As a photographer, I aspire to the likes of Saul Leiter, Daidō Moriyama, and many more and want to unravel both the aesthetic and narrative beauty in solitary and private moments in the everyday and public lives of the people. I believe the world is made of stories and each moment we exist in can be special even though we’re not aware of it. 


 I am an Istanbulite, and I grew up with the legend of photographers like Ara Güler Similar to him, I was born into chaos and beauty at the same time”

I am a Fujifilm user since 2013. I now use a Fuji XT-4 and a Fuji X-100V.

I have participated in many exhibitions so far and now my aim is to open my first solo exhibition and even publish a photography book to share the beauty I see within people and their daily lives with the world.
